What are dental veneers?

Dental veneers are thin shells of composite resin or ceramic that are applied to the visible surface of the teeth. They enhance aesthetics and regularize alignment in a single dental treatment. In addition to their simplicity, veneers stand out for their ability to camouflage several defects at the same time. Two types of veneers to meet your needs

Composite veneers or chair-side veneers: these are shaped directly onto the teeth, without any prior preparation. They are less expensive, making them more accessible. However, they tend to stain or discolor, making their effect less long-lasting.

Porcelain veneers: custom-made (from dental impressions) from high-quality porcelain in a wide range of shades. Solid, lustrous and wear-resistant, they provide a natural, long-lasting effect. However, they require a greater investment of time and money. They take two appointments to install, and a thin layer of enamel must be removed to promote adhesion. Temporary veneers are also required to protect teeth between appointments.

Dental veneers: a treatment for healthy teeth

Veneers are suitable for everyone, as there are few contraindications to this dental treatment. However, it's important to remember that veneers can only be placed in a healthy mouth.
